Responsibilities and Duties:
- To prepare innovative lesson plans and teaching aids for Hindi and Marathi subject on time
- To monitor the progress of children by correcting books and assignments regularly
- To maintain close links with co-curricular teachers and to coordinate with Social Worker and Counsellor for the children’s requirements.
- To actively participate in the Parents meeting and provide feedback on the progress of the child to the parent
- To complete administrative responsibilities assigned to you on time
- To give equal attention to children of different abilities in the class
- To be attentive and observant of the children’s needs
- To motivate and enthuse the children
- To communicate with children in a respectful and positive manner
- To be flexible, open to change and willing to take on additional responsibilities
Required skills and qualifications:
- Graduate / Post Graduate with D.Ed. / B.Ed. (Marathi / Hindi) is mandatory. Minimum 2 -3 years of teaching experience.
- Good command over Marathi and Hindi language.

Position: Donor Relations Executive

Position Summary:
As a Donor Relations Executive your primary responsibilities would include maintaining relationships with key donors and liaising with them to strengthen the partnerships. You will need to explore and ensure new donors are brought onboard thereby expanding our donor base. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to support the fundraising activities of the organization.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare write-ups, newsletters, Annual report, emailers, brochures, event invites
- Prepare narrative reports for corporates and individuals
- Organize school visits for donors. Create schedules and monitor employee engagements for corporates.
- Identify new and prospective donors to expand donor base
- Assist in fundraising campaigns such as Tata Mumbai Marathon and / or web-based fundraising campaigns.
- Assist in achieving fundraising targets
- Liaise with donors for finalization of proposals & MOUs
- Liaise with donors to ensure that all requirements are met to strengthen the partnerships.
- Maintain & update Aseema’s website & Facebook page Education: Graduate/Post-Graduate in any field
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong communication skills – both verbal and written

- Graduate with ECC.Ed / D.Ed certification required

Position: School – Social Worker

- Assist the Community Work Centre – Head in implementing various activities of the CWC
- Act as a link between community and school through regular home visits and identify dropouts
- Conduct admission process of children and maintain the relevant documents
- Prepare home visit reports, detailed case studies of children, CWC reports and minutes of the meeting
- Organize training programmes for parents on topics related to education, health, and vulnerability.
- Ensure overall attendance of children is increasing in line with the goals set by the organization.
- Actively participate in Parents meeting and provide feedback on the progress of the child to the parent
- Ensure Learning Disability (LD) certificates of all children are collected from the hospital
- Coordinate and network with other civil society groups working in the social sector
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
- Candidate with Bachelor in Social Worker / Master in Social Worker preferred
- Minimum 2-3 years of Social work experience
- Good command over the English language

Job Vacancy: Special Educator
Position: Special Educator

Position Summary:
As a Special Educator, you will identify children with special education needs and give them specialized support to help them realize their full potential. You will work in close collaboration with class teachers, social workers and counsellors to ensure that the school takes all possible measures to support the children’s well-being and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and carry out informal assessments to identify children who need special education support and understand their learning needs.
- Design Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for each child, in light of their learning needs.
- Plan and carry out effective and engaging remedials sessions for the children.
- Set clear goals for the children and keep track of their progress.
- Take all possible steps to boost student engagement, motivation and self-belief. Work with the children with empathy and respect.
- Collaborate with teachers, social workers, counsellors and parents to promote the children’s well-being.
Education: Graduate with B.Ed. Certification in Special Education is preferred.
Required Experience and Knowledge:
- Experience of working with children with learning difficulties, preferably children from marginalized communities (minimum of 3 years’ experience).
- Experience of conducting assessments for LDs and reporting the findings in a sensitive and constructive manner.
- Demonstrated ability to develop IEPs for children independently or in consultation with class teacher and subject teachers, and to implement these to a high standard.
- An understanding of the educational options for children with LDs.
Preferred Experience:
- Working with children from marginalized communities.
- Experience of working with parents to ensure that they understand their children’s needs and are able to support their learning.
- Experience with/ability to use ICT technologies in a productive way, particularly for special education.
