Position: Sales and Marketing Executive

We run three municipal schools in Mumbai in partnership with the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM), and one school for tribal children in Igatpuri. Aseema reaches out to 4,400 children living in vulnerable circumstances in urban slums and tribal communities.

Position Summary:
As a Sales and Marketing Executive, your primary role would be to devise a marketing strategy by building brand and product awareness with the help of digital marketing/ social media resulting in increased sales of our products.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Speak and present about Aseema products to both external and internal audiences.
  • Build on product messaging that sets new products apart from others in the market to give them a unique selling point.
  • Plan and manage our social media platforms by building brand awareness and ensure that all communications align with the brand.
  • Design and oversee all aspects of our digital marketing department including our marketing database, email, and display advertising campaigns.
  • Take responsibility for the look and content of the website(s) and social media outlets, maximising visitor conversion.
  • Devise a strategy leading to increased brand visibility through social media, analysis of events and exhibitions.
  • Create content such as case studies, videos, website copy and blog posts.
  • Drive change across the organisation with regard to elements such as social media or digitization
  • Communicate the vision and value of new products and develop sales tools that facilitate the selling process.
  • Plan and participate in the launch of new services and products which involve several different departments.
  • Research competitor offerings, obtain insights into customers’ usage of current products, untapped opportunities and buyer personas.
  • Contribute to product development and use analytics to drive product development.
  • Use market research data to establish product pricing and propose pricing.
  • Prepare accurate reports on our marketing campaign’s overall performance.
  • Handle all correspondence with clients and vendors as per requirement.
  • Participate in meetings with the Asst. Director – Resource Mobilisation on a regular basis.
  • Oversee and manage all contests, giveaways, and other digital projects.
  • Review inventory levels and ensure product availability.
  • Develop a corporate dossier with high resolution product images for the product catalogue.

Qualification, Skills and Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or relevant field.

Position: Donor Relations Executive

Position Summary:
As a Donor Relations Executive your primary responsibilities would include maintaining relationships with key donors and liaising with them to strengthen the partnerships. You will need to explore and ensure new donors are brought onboard thereby expanding our donor base. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to support the fundraising activities of the organization.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Prepare write-ups, newsletters, Annual report, emailers, brochures, event invites
  • Prepare narrative reports for corporates and individuals
  • Organize school visits for donors. Create schedules and monitor employee engagements for corporates.
  • Identify new and prospective donors to expand donor base
  • Assist in fundraising campaigns such as Tata Mumbai Marathon and / or web-based fundraising campaigns.
  • Assist in achieving fundraising targets
  • Liaise with donors for finalization of proposals & MOUs

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • To identify and ensure vacancies for all centres are filled on priority.
  • To identify potential sources of resource through job portals, contacts, institutions etc.
  • To establish, maintain contact with institutions for campus interviews and attend the same for filling vacancies.
  • To strictly follow the recruitment process including screening and shortlisting of resumes, interviewing, scheduling demo lessons in case of teachers.
  • To maintain and update recruitment (Job Application) database on a regular basis.
  • To update the vacancy tracker on weekly basis and share it with the concerned team members.
  • To coordinate with the shortlisted candidates for document submission and assist in verification purpose.

  • Act as a link between community and school through regular home visits and identify dropouts
  • Conduct admission process of children and maintain the relevant documents

  • Organize training programmes for parents on topics related to education, health, and vulnerability.
  • Ensure overall attendance of children is increasing in line with the goals set by the organization.

  • Ensure Learning Disability (LD) certificates of all children are collected from the hospital

Position Summary:
As a Special Educator, you will identify children with special education needs and give them specialized support to help them realize their full potential. You will work in close collaboration with class teachers, social workers and counsellors to ensure that the school takes all possible measures to support the children’s well-being and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and carry out informal assessments to identify children who need special education support and understand their learning needs.
  • Design Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for each child, in light of their learning needs.
  • Plan and carry out effective and engaging remedials sessions for the children.
  • Set clear goals for the children and keep track of their progress.
  • Take all possible steps to boost student engagement, motivation and self-belief. Work with the children with empathy and respect.
  • Collaborate with teachers, social workers, counsellors and parents to promote the children’s well-being.

Education: Graduate with B.Ed. Certification in Special Education is preferred.

Required Experience and Knowledge:

  • Experience of working with children with learning difficulties, preferably children from marginalized communities (minimum of 3 years’ experience).
  • Experience of conducting assessments for LDs and reporting the findings in a sensitive and constructive manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop IEPs for children independently or in consultation with class teacher and subject teachers, and to implement these to a high standard.
  • An understanding of the educational options for children with LDs.

Preferred Experience:

  • Working with children from marginalized communities.
  • Experience of working with parents to ensure that they understand their children’s needs and are able to support their learning.
  • Experience with/ability to use ICT technologies in a productive way, particularly for special education.
