Frequently Asked Questions

How does monthly giving work?

Become a part of the Aseema Membership Programme and create a lasting impact through monthly giving. Choose the amount you would like to contribute, and your donation will be automatically debited each month on the same date as your enrolment for the chosen duration.

As our valued monthly donor, you will receive regular updates from us, keeping you connected to the lives you are helping transform.

How do I contact Aseema Charitable Trust regarding my donation?

For details or any further assistance, please email us at membership@aseema.org. We will respond to the emails within two working days.

Are donations to Aseema (ACT) eligible for tax benefits?

Yes. Donations made to Aseema Charitable Trust qualify for a 50% tax deduction under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961, subject to applicable provisions and limits. This deduction is generally available to taxpayers opting for the Old Tax Regime.

Tax benefits under Section 80G are generally not available under the New Tax Regime. A donation receipt and certificate in Form 10BE will be provided to support your claim.

Why do I need to share my ID details (such as a PAN card)?

Your PAN is required to ensure compliance with the Income Tax Act, 1961, and other applicable statutory requirements. In accordance with government regulations, recipient organisations must maintain the tax identity records of donors. PAN details are also necessary for issuing the Form 10BE certificate, which donors can use to claim deductions under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act.

Will I be issued an 80G donation receipt and Form 10BE for my donation?

Yes. A donation receipt will be issued once the donation amount reflects in our bank account. The Form 10BE will be shared after the end of the financial year.

Will I receive a report on how my donation is being used?

Every donation reflects your trust and your hard-earned money and we are extremely grateful to you. We are committed to using your donation responsibly and transparently, and we will keep you updated through regular emails on the impact your support is making in the lives of our children.

As an OCI/PIO cardholder, can I donate on the ACT website?

Yes, you can by selecting the Foreign Passport holder tab. For additional details or alternative donation methods, please contact us at membership@aseema.org.

Can Non-Indian, foreign citizens donate online?

Foreign nationals or citizens can donate to us through our Foreign Passport Holder tab.

Do you accept offline donations?

Yes. For offline donations via cheque in the favour of Aseema Charitable Trust, you can write to membership@aseema.org and we will help you with the account details.

How do I make an anonymous donation?

In accordance with government regulations, we are required to maintain the tax identity details of every donor. As a result, we regret that we cannot accept anonymous donations.
